Aside from her body of solo performance work, Adelina sometimes produces, directs, and performs in traditional and non-traditional theater projects.  Coming up from the rigorous ranks of Chicano living room drama, professional Western theatre training, grassroots teatro, performance art, and Xicana-Indígena ritual & practice,  it is no wonder why Adelina proudly responds to "drama queen."  Her performances have been praised by the Los Angeles Times, the Dallas Morning News, the San Francisco Chronicle, The L.A. Weekly, The Dallas Observer, and others for their hilarity and riveting intensity.  Several Chicana/ Latina scholars have presented papers or are currently writing on her performances and their impact on her audiences.
